Friday Focus

I had a nice visit at St. Anthony's in Columbus on Wednesday. I chaired their SIP External Team Visitation. It's a smaller school with just 103 students in grades K-6, but I saw a lot of similarities between St. Anthony's and Norfolk Catholic. Loyal, experienced staff, kids eager to learn, Saxon Math, Step Up to Writing, strong Home & School support. Check out the Norfolk Catholic Twitter feed for a couple of ideas I took pictures of!
Speaking of strong Home and School support, how about the job Helen Snodgrass and Kim Sullivan did during Staff Appreciation Week?!? Wow! Make sure to thank them one more time the next time you see them.
Thank you to all of you who've gotten me your grade level tally sheets for the Archdiocesan Assessments. I know some classes are working on the assessments right now. Please get me your tally sheets ASAP after you finish so I can get them turned into the Archdiocesan Office by May 1.
If you have questions about your students writing assessment that Dusty talked about on Wednesday, please talk to Dusty, Shana, Rosemary J, or another member of the writing committee.
Review your fire and tornado drill procedures with your classes next week.
HIlary, Terrie, Joann, Staci, Dusty, and Emily Korth--let's meet next Friday morning at 7:35 to begin discussion about studying and reviewing Language Arts materials. Let's meet in Dusty's room.
