Weber School Newsletter
2nd March - Week 5, Term 1 - 2023
Principal's Piece
Tena Koutou Katoa Weber whanau,
I hope everyone is safe and well.
Next week we have a coffee and catch up planned for on Wednesday 8th March from 9-10.30am - this is an opportunity to pop in, have a cuppa , wonder round the rooms and catch up with other families after the events of the past few weeks. Everyone welcome.
A survey has gone out regarding devices should we move to online learning again. Please keep an eye out in your inbox.
It appears Covid has hit the district onca again, so if your child is unwell / has any covid symptoms please stay home if sick. If your whānau need RAT tests we have a few still at school, please let us know if you do and we will send them home with your child.
Unfortunately our pool is still out of action so with Country Swimming Sports on the horizon we have booked a session next Thursday ( 9th March) from 1-3.30pm at Wai Splash to go through the events with the onsite instructors. Our younger students will get a swimming lesson at the same time in the learner pool. We will be sending out a google doc for transport.
Have a great week

We would like to thank Greg Mitchell, from Growater for the prompt and hard mahi over the holidays installing our 2 brand new water tanks and water monitoring system.
We would also like to thank those who nominated Weber School during the 2022 bobby calf season, we received a donation of thirty five cents from every calf. As a result we received $135.10 from Farmer meat export. Thank you.
We would also like to thank all the wonderful members of the community that have contributed to our school by nominating us to receive fifty cents for every 100L of bulk fuel they got from Fern Fuels, as a result of this amazing generousity we have $919 in the kete, we are so close to the $1000 goal, where we then can redeem this for sporting goods, technology and music packs!
