Holiday Playgroup Gathering

All little ones not yet in school are invited to bring their parents and/or caregivers for some pre-Christmas fun! All are welcome to come in pajamas to listen to stories and sing songs presented by the Lansing Library. We will also be decorating holiday cookies.

Christmas Program

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 11, 6:30 p.m. in CHURCH

Our music teacher, Mr. Zachary Jackson, has been working diligently with the students to present a program that will surely put everyone in a Christmas mood! Please have the children wear Sunday best (no jeans; Christmas dresses/sweaters are encouraged), and arrive between 6:00 and 6:15 to sit with their classmates. The show will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Garden Club Winter Break

While the plants are snoozing, Garden Club will take a break. Our last meeting for the winter will be Thursday, December 12, and we will resume in the spring. Thank you so much for sharing your children with Mrs. MacFarlane and Ms. Pozen this fall--we hope they learned and grew!

Big picture

School Spirit Dress Down Day/ Volleyball Games

Please join us in a FREE School Spirit Dress Down Day to kick off our first volleyball homestand! All volleyball players may wear their team jerseys, and the rest of the school can wear their new gold spirit shirts, last year's tie dies, or any other St. Ann spirit-wear.

Our first homestand will take place at our new home court, Trinity Lutheran, 2505 Indiana Avenue, right down the street from the Lansing Library. Please come and support our student athletes: 6th/7th plays@10, 8th plays@11, and 4th/5th plays@Noon. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for students, and $4 for a family; concessions will be available. Our theme for the weekend is Crazy for Christmas, so we are encouraging everyone to wear crazy sweaters and Christmas colors. The class with the highest attendance will receive free admission to the Homecoming games in January.

Skating Party Stocking Stuffer

The cost of our super fun and always much-anticipated skating parties will be going up in the new year. But you have the chance to pre-purchase your tickets for the next skating party--January 30, 2020--at the old rate of $6 before the end of the year! Watch for an order form next week. You will receive a voucher to put in your students' stockings, and they will automatically receive the Skating Party NUT card when the time comes.

Dress Code Reminders

1. Boots may not be worn during school. If your child wears boots to school, be sure to also send along school shoes for him or her to change into.

2. Hair is to be neat and clean, and no hair coloring of any kind may be used, temporary or permanent.

3. Eyebrows are to be natural. Makeup of any kind is prohibited.

4. On dress down days, yoga pants and leggings are not acceptable for in-school casual wear. Jeans and joggers are fine.
