Walk with the Principals: A little quality time
This past week, we had a chance to take each cohort on a Spring walk. Ms. Astalosch and I spent half an hour walking with each group, it was truly a lovely time to just be with the students. As we stopped to marvel at the sight of three Canadian geese, delighted in the cracking ice, followed "Ulysses" the squirrel, and chatted along the way, it was a beautiful reminder of the JOY of what we do. A reminder of our why.
Thank you for the continued blessing of walking with your children on their faith and learning journeys at St. John XXIII.
Blessings,
Mrs. Bonnie-Lynne Boehm, Principal

Healthy Living Move-a-Thon - March 24th!
The Healthy Living Team has been working hard this week to ensure all the finishing touches are in place to make our first St. John Move-a-Thon a success. The school is abuzz and it is evident through our conversations that the students are being supported by their families and communities in this endeavour. In the spirit of the Lenten season, we are already so thankful for your help in teaching our St. John kids that they can and should make a difference for those in need.
If, for any reason, you have missed the communication home about the Move-a-Thon, the information and pledge sheet are attached below. Students should have all sponsors recorded prior to the event and may begin collecting the donations after they have completed their laps on Wednesday, March 24th. All donations should be returned to the school in the form of cash, cheque or electronic payment by Friday, April 9th. Don’t forget to ask your child how many laps they completed and watch for communication from your child’s classroom teacher on the day of the event!
Please find all of the information that was sent home March 16th linked here:
