The Rivers Secondary College
November 2017 Edition
Lismore High Campus principal among first to receive new certification
The Rivers Secondary College Public Speaking
We held our first public stage 4 Public Speaking Event at the Lismore North Coast National. I believe that it shows how agile we are as an organization. With very limited time and staff and students managed to field an excellent group of finalists. They certainly showcased the talent that we have in our campuses. The standard was very high both in content and presentation. The winner of the competition was Daisy Thompson from Lismore High Campus. She has won two tickets to Canberra along with accommodation, provided by Sommerville Laundry Lomax Solicitors. She will meet Federal member for Page, Kevin Hogan on her trip to Canberra. Thanks to our English Head Teachers, staff and the students who participated. Also a special thanks to Cheryl Graham for timekeeping and Sommerville Laundry Lomax Solicitors, and Kevin Hogan, who both provided staff to assist with the judging.

We have also asked Head teachers to provide feedback regarding the College Improvement framework.
