Think about how this song and this video make you feel? We all have times when we fall down. It is getting back up that matters. This starts by loving yourself and knowing you can do this!
Let's start by looking into the mirror and saying something kind to yourself today!
Grades 6-12 Activity
Respect Your Elders
When your parents ask you to do something today, happily and enthusiastically do it. No excuses. No “wait 5 minutes.” No Complaining. Just excitedly say, “I’m on it!” If they don’t ask you to do anything specifically, ask them what you can help them with.
Reflection Questions:
Were your parents surprised by your response? If yes, what does that tell you about your usual reaction?
What are other ways you can help more often at home?
Family Character Dare
Take a Hike
Search for hiking or walking trails in your area and pick one you haven’t tried before. Even if it’s just walking around the block, get some family fresh air and keep technology or distractions at home. See if your kids want to come up with the topic or theme of the conversation while you walk.
