CONGRATULATIONS

East Valley Women's League (EVWL) has selected two Combs High School students to receive two (2) SUITS Awards (Setting up Incredible Teens for Success) Michael Burgos and Darrell Bahe. EVWL is a 501c3 non-profit organization that has supported women and children's charities in the east valley since 2002.

What does this mean?

EWWL has partnered with Men's Warehouse at Chandler Mall to award a suit, shirt, tie, belt and shoes (a $450 value) to over 50 deserving senior boys in our community!!

MEET MRS. WOOTON

My name is Maggie Wooton. While I was born and raised in New Hampshire, I moved to Arizona after graduating high school as a junior. Upon moving to Arizona, I attended and graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Sociology and Family Studies. While attending NAU, I met my husband---also a Combs High School teacher! Together we share 2 beautiful daughters who add joy, value, lots of patience, and so much love to our lives.

COUNSELORS CORNER

Did you know? Sports Medicine is another great option for students who might be interested in the medical field. Students who take 2 years of Sports Medicine and pass their exam become OSHA 10 Healthcare certified and also certify in CPR. Students who wish to continue in the Sports Medicine program can take the optional internship class and work side by side with Mr. Nielsen as he helps our athletes in various sports here at CHS.

Upcoming events:

  • December 20: Final day of Semester 1
  • January 8 and 9: ASVAB for all Seniors and any interested Juniors. This test will help students discover and understand their strengths and where those strengths can be turned into careers and other opportunities. The ASVAB is administered by the military with no strings attached.
  • January 10: Elevate 4 Tomorrow conference for Juniors
  • February 13 and 14: EVIT on campus to meet with potential students
