KCHS Presents 'Once on This Island'
Kalamazoo Central High School presents the award-winning musical "Once on This Island" Nov. 12-14 and Nov. 18-20. It tells the story of a peasant girl who uses the power of love to bring together social classes on her Caribbean island.
Based on the 1985 novel My Love, My Love; or, The Peasant Girl by Rosa Guy, the musical features music by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, the team behind shows such as "Ragtime" and "Seussical."

Sneak Peek of New SEL Center
ESL students and families got a sneak peek of the new Social and Emotional Learning and Professional Development Center, which will be officially unveiled next week. Wednesday night, families enjoyed a meal and activities, while learning about ESL and computer classes for parents and tutoring for students. The center will also host music and community events.

Happy Veterans Day from Northeastern
Northeastern Elementary teacher Taalea Fluellen's 4/5 classroom wrote letters to veterans in honor of Veteran's Day. The letters will be mailed to the VA hospital in Battle Creek.
