Dress up Days
Homecoming week is an exciting time filled with unique outfits for assigned dress up days. Students dressed from their PJ’s to their favorite movie star students did not disappoint with wacky wear for this year’s homecoming dress up week. On Monday, students just had to roll out of bed wearing their pajamas. On Tuesday, students dressed as their favorite historical or sports figure. On Wednesday, students dressed up as their future career choice. On Thursday, students got to go all out for Halloween and came to school in their costumes. While in costumes, the Elementary students gave an impromptu parade to the Secondary students. Last but not least, students went all out on Friday with mums and garters, ringing and brightening the hallways with that Pirate Pride Spirit. Homecoming came to an end, with both students and teachers dressing to impress and filled the school with pride. While the posters may already be torn down and the feathers and the glitter swept from the floor, Homecoming 2019 was one to remember.

Middle School Football
Your Center Point Middle School Pirates competed well in a pair of physical contest with the Mason Punchers. The White team lost 14-12, while the Black team suffered a 27-6 defeat. Juan Alvarado stepped up big for the white team by filling in at center. Mauricio Gallegos and Jose Gallegos provided the scoring. Mauricio’s score coming in the 4th quarter on a 25 yard pass. The defense played very well including a stop of Mason at the end of the first half.
The Black team fought hard, but came up short. Jude Hueber played well, filling in at quarterback. Clayton Thomas scored the team’s TD on a kickoff return. Rene Rodriguez led the way up front on both sides of the ball. The Pirates should be proud of the effort of these young men. Go Pirates!!
