Mommy and Me!
Vista Kids Learning Hour (Sunday School) in Review... last weekend:
Our theme this month is "Happy are those who don't see and yet believe" John 20:29.
I don't think there is a better place to study and dive into this scripture than being surrounded by children! Children are such great models of this as so many know how to love Jesus with their whole heart and have the amazing ability to "see" with other senses and "see" with symbols and signs!
Last Sunday, we walked to Emmaus as two disciples meet a stranger along the way and told him of the miracles they have seen yet still struggle to believe. After the man invited himself to stay at their home and join them for a meal where he recreated a moment from the Passover meal and blesses them, they realize that the stranger was Jesus as he disappears!
This Sunday we will be looking at John 20:24-31. Thomas "saw everything that happened with Jesus with his very own eyes" Yet, Thomas doubted. This story illustrates that Jesus met Thomas where he was, he let Thomas see and feel the scars. This experience transformed doubt into strong belief. Jesus spoke to Thomas a blessing saying "Happy are those who don't see and yet believe". We can draw comfort in this statement because it shows that Jesus understands how difficult it is to believe in something that is unseen. Believing without seeing is faith!

Children's Church- Radical Sayings of Jesus!
Last week we began hearing some radical statements Jesus made! We used bubble blowing and flower finger painting to remind us that bubbles/worries pop and disappear when we live by FAITH in GOD providing ALL that we need! Luke 11:22-34.
Today we enter the second week in a new study "The Radical Sayings of Jesus"!
