Ross Round Up
Engage. Empower. Educate. Every Day.
May 12, 2023
Hi families!
This week was Teacher Appreciation Week, where we honor all our Ross staff for the teaching work they do with students. Ross staff work so hard day in and day out to create special learning experiences for students and this week, we were appreciated by so many people. PTA showered us with food, students thanked teachers in a variety of ways, and many parents did service for us this week and shared kind words of appreciation. We're filled with gratitude for the love showed this week!
Kids had some exciting experiences this week at Ross.
- On Tuesday, we hosted Wagons Ho! with 24 amazing parent volunteers--such a great turnout. Check out this video.
- On Tuesday, CAST students presented the new mascot they chose to the school board. The board approved it! We are now officially the Ross Rams!!!! Click the link below to see the presentation the CAST students prepared and delivered to the school board.
- On Wednesday, we had a free time "HOPE Week" coloring contest with over 75 entries. Winners were voted on by CAST students from Ross and KHS and will be announced on Monday. All the entries will be hung on the library windows where students will be able to see them.
- On Thursday, KHS CAST students came and taught all our classes about leadership and played games with them in the classroom and at recess. Check out this video.
We have Field Day coming up on Tuesday, May 30.
- 4th grade will be from 12:30-2:00 pm.
- 5th grade will be from 2:00-3:30 pm.
- Parents are welcome to join us for Field Day! Just let your classroom teacher know you're coming. If you come, you'll do rotations with your child's class. Unfortunately, no younger siblings are allowed to join.
- One of the stations will be an awards station. If your child is receiving an award, you will get an invite next week.
- For Field Day, all students will get a new Ross Rams mascot t-shirt for free! Thank you, PTA, for supporting us in that.
Love,
Principal Tripp
