Principal for a Day
Peachtree Ridge welcomed Mr. Jimmy Burnette, Mayor of the City of Suwanee, in the annual Principal for a Day event.
Finish Strong
As we approach the end of quarter two, it is imperative that students and parents are checking grades and making sure that all assignments have been made up. Students that currently have below a 75 in any course are encouraged to develop a plan using the Finish Strong Form and then review it with the teacher for approval. If you have questions about specific opportunities, please reach out to the individual teachers via email and they will be happy to support your child.
Ridge Recovery Session 2
Peachtree Ridge High School has implemented several Credit Recovery (CR) sessions for our students. Ridge Recovery is a face-to-face program for students who did not pass a class with a final grade between 50%-69% for courses offered. Ridge Recovery does not meet the minimum academic standards that NCAA requires and is, thus, NOT recognized for eligibility purposes. Prospective college athletes should NOT take Credit Recovery courses. Session 2 sign-ups will open on My Payments Plus on December 15th. For additional information on courses offered and dates, please see the website https://www.gcpsk12.org/domain/14041 or contact The Office of Student Support and Interventions at (678) 512 - 6074.
AP Capstone Program Applications
The AP Capstone program is accepting applications until Friday, January 7th, 2023 for rising juniors.
AP Capstone is a two-year diploma program from the College Board that provides students with an opportunity to engage in rigorous scholarly practice of the core academic skills necessary for successful college completion. Students take AP Seminar paired with AP U.S. History in their junior year, and then AP Research paired with AP Language & Composition in their senior year.
If you would like an application, please speak to your World History or 10th grade ELA teacher. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Petty (carrie.petty@gcpsk12.org)

A Delicious Way to Support the PRHS Band Program: Honey Baked Ham Gift Cards and E-Gift Cards
Our kids LOVE to play music at PRHS. Our program receives 20% of every gift card or e-gift card purchase at Honey Baked Ham. Your support allows us to be successful as student musicians by helping us to maintain instruments, purchase new music, purchase band equipment and so much more. Without you, we wouldn't be able to challenge our students and take them to the next level in their music career as well help us to continue to build an amazing program that your student will talk about for years to come.
If you would like to see our student musicians in action, join us for our Band Concert on November 17th or our Fine Arts Showcase on December 8th and 9th in the high school theater.
Please feel free to share this link with anyone...friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and anyone who loves Honey Baked Ham for the holidays. Know that your support is appreciated. Thank you for your generosity.

RoboLions in the Movies "Fantasy Football"
Last May some of our students on the robotics team had the opportunity to be a part of a Paramount film "Fantasy Football". The movie centers around football, but our team was approached because there is a plot line in the movie involving robotics teams and the use of robots. Our students had our competition robot in the film and got to be part of it by controlling the robot during these scenes.
The movie comes out November 25th on Paramount Plus. So, if you are looking for something to watch with your family this holiday week consider "Fantasy Football." Look out for our robot and some of our students while watching.
Students who were involved in filming:
Nathaniel C. , Kevin H., Katherine W., Shrey P., Negar O., Akash P., Ananya S., Skyler L., Amani S., & Maika H.

The Peachtree Ridge Marching Lions competed in their last contest at the Deep South Classic Marching Invitational hosted by Wayne County High School. Out of the 19 bands who competed, we came home with...

- 1st in class 3A drum major and percussion
- 2nd in class 3A colorguard
- 3rd in class 3A band
- 3rd in show drum major
- 6th in show percussion
