Freshwater Marshes
By: Elizabeth Darias
I will be using the everglades for a freshwater marsh, but here is a short description of what marsh is: Freshwater Marshes are often found in open areas , Near rivers and lakes. They are very common at the opening of rivers and sometimes form in areas with mineral soil that drains poorly and slowly but the water is rich in minerals. Also Freshwater marshes gets its water depending on rain or other bodies of water near them.
ABIOTIC FACTORS OF THE EVERGLADES
The Everglades is an aquatic ecosystem. It has deep and very poorly drained soil, and also limestone is found in this huge ecosystem. The everglades air is very moist and hot, and the everglades water temperature is sometimes ow or high temperature. The everglades water is fresh and is both an aquifer and rain sustain er. The humidity of the everglades reaches over 90% of humidity! The weather in the everglades has reached 100 degrees and over, which really affects the waters temperature.
