Every student was given a T-shirt template to decorate with objects or text that represent their future career plans, future college, or other future dreams after High School graduation. Students are also encouraged to participate in the daily themes (see flyer below). It is a great time to talk to your kids about the importance of education in making their dreams come true.

Plano ISD COVID Response
As COVID cases continue to rise due to the Omicron variant, the District is striving to keep our families informed of any updates/changes to PISD's COVID-19 Response. At this time, the District will stay with a 10-day quarantine period and there are no revisions to the mask policy below. However, the district has updated the guidelines for schoolwide events and activities to protect the health and wellbeing of Plano ISD employees and students. These revised guidelines will be in place through February 4, 2022, and will be reevaluated at that time. The new updated guidelines may be found HERE.
The use of face masks is optional for all students, staff and visitors. It is recommended that individuals who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 continue to wear an appropriate face mask while around others. Universal indoor masking is recommended for all teachers, staff, students and visitors to K-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status (Collin County Health Care Services | Centers for Disease Control and Prevention | American Academy of Pediatrics).
The latest information regarding PISD’s COVID-19 Response and other important health information can be found on their website at http://pisd.edu/covid.
Important Carpool Procedures
Hi parents,
We need your help with carpool drop off and pick up procedures. We have a very efficient system for carpool if everyone does their part. Please follow these reminders:
- Students need to be dropped off 7:00-7:30 (cafeteria stops serving at 7:30) so they have time to get breakfast if needed and get to their class before the tardy bell. Teachers take students to class at 7:30 from the gym.
- You may park in the parking lot if you need to walk your child up or help them get in/out of the car, but please DO NOT park on the street and cross the street and carpool lane to take your child to the car. It is not safe. The line after school is clear in about 10 minutes after kids get called.
- If your child needs help getting in/out of the car or they need to get in on the driver's side, please pull over to the parking lot so it is safe and you can help them rather than holding up the line.
- The teacher must know how the child is going home. If they are a "walker" that means they are walking home alone or you are walking up to the ramp to get them and walk them home or to the car. If they are "carpool" please do not walk up to get them unless you have already told the teacher they will be a "walker" from now on. There are different dismissal processes for these 2 groups of kids.
- Please leave your carpool tag in your window until your child is in your car. We need to see it to put the name in our group text to call the child and we need to see it again at the front to make sure the right child gets in the car.
- After your child gets into the car, you can pull into the left lane to exit the loop if the car in front of you is not ready.
Thank you for helping us keep our kids safe!

Parents,
Masks are recommended at school and although we do have some on hand for students who forget theirs, we are running out quickly and cannot provide them every day. Please be sure to send your child to school with a mask if you prefer for them to wear one. Thank you for your help with this.
