How Much Is Too Much and How Much Is Not Enough? As we continue to remote learning process this week, please give feedback to your child's teacher if there are unnecessary tears or stress due to the assignments and work. We have taken our best guess as to how much is too much and how much is not enough. This is certainly a stressful time for everyone and our goal is to help keep your child learning and for them to have some normalcy and consistency while things change around them. Feedback is key so we can monitor and adjust.

Health Information
As of 3/20/20 at 8 a.m., there are 81 confirmed cases of COVID-19 affecting 17 counties in SC. One of these confirmed cases is in York County. Dr. Linda Bell, State Epidemiologist with SC DHEC, stated in the Governor’s press conference on 3/19, that testing supplies are limited and everyone sick in SC does not need to be tested. SC DHEC advises if you are sick stay at home and only seek care if symptoms worsen. Several South Carolina health systems are offering free telehealth options to the public. In order to access the free consult, use the promo code COVID19.
- MUSC Health Virtual Urgent Care
- McLeod Telehealth
- Prisma Health Virtual Visit
- Roper St. Francis Healthcare Virtual Care
Transmission requires significant close contact with a confirmed positive individual. Brief exposure to an individual that has COVID-19 is not considered a high risk exposure. The elderly population and those with serious health conditions are at greater risk of getting COVID-19. In addition to SC DHEC lab, private labs are also starting to process tests for COVID-19. Due to the number of individuals being tested, it is expected that the number of positive test increase as well.
SC DHEC has suggested the following guidelines to protect the health and safety of all South Carolinians.
- Practice good hand hygiene
- Always wash your hands after you come home from a public place
- Avoid touching face
- Stop handshaking
- Wash hands frequently and prior to eating
- Follow recommendations for social distancing
- Consider adjusting or postponing gatherings
- Do not attend gatherings if you are sick
- Cover your cough
- Stay home when you are sick or if you have sick family members
