Corron Mission Statement

Corron is a safe, warm and inviting community where all are valued and empowered. We celebrate growth. Clear evidence highlights the impact we have academically, socially and emotionally.

From the Principal

It’s hard to believe that on Monday we will start our 7th week of school for students. I know many of us had anticipated this model only lasting a few short weeks before going fully remote. It is such a celebration that we are still in school and students and staff are staying safe.

There are many celebrations related to our remote learning classrooms as well. Parents and teachers are sharing that students are engaged and learning as well as connecting with their peers. I have had the privilege of joining a few Morning Meetings with our remote classes, and it has been so nice to see our students smiling and sharing.

Thank you again for all that you are doing as a parent to support your child with school, no matter where your student is doing their learning . And thank you for following state safety guidelines so that we can continue to give our families choice for their learning models!

This year, D303 elementary schools are shifting from conferences focused on progress review to a focus on setting meaningful goals. Teachers will be reviewing student work and student assessment data with your child to determine areas of strengths and areas of improvement. Goals will then be set and ideas to reach those goals will be shared with you at your child’s conferences. The role of the teacher, the student and the guardian in reaching those goals will be discussed. In order for you to prepare for these conferences, please reflect on this school year so far. What has been a success for your child? What has been a challenge? How can you support your child with reaching his or her goals? The conferences will conclude with time for questions.

Kindergarten students can order take home meals

District 303 is now offering the opportunity for kindergarten students to order a meal that can be taken home after school. Students will choose items from a menu that will be ordered by their classroom teacher. The meals will be brought to the classroom 15 minutes prior to dismissal. Meals that students select are free of charge as part of the Federal Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) that has been extended through December 31, 2020.
