Students are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to school on Wednesday, October 26th. The following guidelines will be followed for all students:

  • Costume masks are not allowed.

  • Students cannot wear costumes that are violent, bloody, or with weapons.

  • Board policy clearly prohibits look-a-like weapons such as toy guns, knives, swords, or other threatening objects. These items are not allowed at school for any reason.

Wearing a costume is a family decision and is not required by any means. If a family wishes that their child/children not participate in the Halloween celebrations, please make your child’s teacher aware prior to Wednesday, October 26th. We will have other activities available.

Did someone say Happy Holiday's already?!

This will be the second year that we are fundraising with a beautiful 24" wreath dressed in decorative pine cones and a luscious red velvet bow. These wreaths come from Whitetail Woodlands in Wisconsin Rapids and we will be the only organization in Stevens Point selling this top quality product!

The proceeds will help us continue to grow our beautiful new outdoor space. Sales start on September 21, and will run through October 10. The pick-up date is on November 14, just in time for all of your holiday parties! Place your orders now with any student, staff member, or feel free to call the main office at (715) 354-5418.

**Checks can be made out to 'Jefferson Elementary'**

Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)

Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)

    1. This program provides eligible households up to $30 a month off internet bills and a one-time $100 discount off a connected device.
    2. Visit https://www.whitehouse.gov/getinternet/#_blank to learn more.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) established the ACP, providing eligible households up to $30 a month off internet bills and a one-time $100 discount off a connected device. The Administration secured commitments from internet service providers across the country to offer high-speed plans that are fully covered -- meaning millions of families can get high-speed internet at no cost. An estimated 40% of households qualify for the ACP, including those with an income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level ($55,500 for a family of four) and those participating in certain federal programs (without regard to income). GetInternet.gov is a one-stop shop to check eligibility and sign up. Moreover, the Department released a Back to School ACP Toolkit with a ready-to-use backpack flyer that schools and community partners may use to help students and their families enroll.
