Hello Week
We are participating in Hello Week this year, September 24-28.
Our activities on our campus will include:
A presentation by Mrs. Cole during Music and Movement the Friday before
Monday 9/24 - make their own name tags to wear Monday, learn everyone's name in their class (hopefully by then they know most of their names so it shouldn't take too long)
Tuesday 9/25- WEAR GREEN (Sandy Hook's school color), Human bingo in homeroom (use it as your bell ringer or ticket out), grade level picture during Recess with a H-E-L-L-O banner!
Wednesday 9/26- talk about icebreakers (activity concentric circles) in homeroom
Thursday 9/27- Shake hands with adults when entering classes and with classmates and say "Hello, Good morning + an icebreaker question!" (5 minutes in the morning or each time they enter your classroom)
Friday 9/28- Students will sign pledge cards and post in their grade level hallway!
All activities should only take 5-10 minutes AND will be done for you, printed and put in your box the day before with instructions! Please, please, encourage participation! Even participate with staff! Meet a new staff member, say hello! Bring someone coffee.. maybe for your counselor ;) just kidding.
A parent brochure will also go home with kids Monday, 9/24, those will also be in your boxes! See everything is done for you!! It will be super! :) And hopefully a way for you to get to know your kids in a different way!
