Home of the Stingers!
May 2016 What's the Buzz?
Dear Parent/Guardian:
It is certainly nice to finally see some Spring weather as we enter May. It felt like a very long winter. With Spring and May comes many sporting opportunities. Stinger Road racers have been preparing for the LCVI Road Race on May 4th, 2016. Our Junior Basketball teams headed to Kingston on Monday, May 2nd, 2016. A big thanks to all our coaches!!
Our new Kindergarten students will have an opportunity to visit the school during Discover Kindergarten in Limestone on Thursday, May 19
from 6:00-7:00.
The development of good character continues at our school. During the month of May we will be practicing ‘cooperation’. Students who demonstrate this trait over and above the norm will be recognized at our June assembly. Please remember to check out all the details on our website or follow us on Twitter at @TPCS_LDSB and Remind (text the message @mrsdesbi to 613 777 6975).
With the arrival of warm, sunny days, students are reminded to review our school’s dress code. All hats, hoods and head coverings should be removed while inside the school. Please dress appropriately for school and the weather. Bring hats, covering for arms and shoulders and wear sun screen, daily. Parents/guardians are asked to spend a few minutes and review sun safety with their child(ren) and the need to protect their skin from UVB/UVA rays. Students should pack extra drinks.
Sunscreen: Aerosol sprays are not allowed at school. Please apply sunscreen before arriving at school. If students need to reapply sunscreen during the day, they are asked to refrain from doing so in their classrooms. Thank you.
