WELCOME BACK CV COUGARS!
April 2, 2021
Greetings Cascade View Family,
We are so excited to welcome our Cascade View Cougars back into the building for in-person learning. We know and recognize that during this time you may have many questions about what it looks like in the building and the expectations. We started preparations to be ready to welcome back our fantastic CV Cougar students first in-person learning day, April 1, 2021. Please see the pictures below of what students see as they walk the hallways of Cascade View.
Joyful Teaching and Learning,
Tenesha and Cindy
We have four daily expectations that we are asking of the students: Students will maintain social distancing, Students will wear a mask properly covering their nose and mouth, Students will cough and sneeze in their arm or tissue and wash/sanitize their hands as needed, and Students will follow behavior expectations in the hallway and classroom. These expectations will be taught through modeling and communicated throughout the day as reminders including on the announcements.
For student Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We will provide each student with two cloth masks. In each classroom there are disposable masks. The disposable masks are specifically made for children.
Please read below on the procedures that we have implemented at Cascade View.
CV’s procedures to increase physical distancing include:
Keeping students in cohorts
Rearranging desks/tables to maximize the space between students
Reducing the number of students in hallways
Seating charts will be used
Mark traffic flow on the ground and designate entrances and exits with in and out signs to minimize face to face contact
Place decals, tape, spots, cones, paint or other markers to signal six feet in areas where students may be waiting in line
Limiting access to the building to align with health and safety policies and procedures
Reducing congestion in office areas
Limiting building use outside of scheduled building use times
Cascade View’s procedures for Hand Hygiene include:
Students, staff and visitors (allowed on a limited basis) will wash their hands when they arrive at school, before meals or snacks, after going outside, after going to the bathroom, and before leaving. If soap and water is not available or there are allergy concerns, alcohol-based hand gel with at least 60 percent alcohol will be used. Hand sanitizing stations are placed outside every classroom in addition to every common space, such as the cafeteria, gymnasium, and library.
