2022 Terry Fox Run at NES
It was wonderful to be able to walk together as a school on our traditional Terry Fox route this year. We had to make some last minute changes due to the weather but we still go it done. Thank you to the parent volunteers that came to help for this event. We raised $1470.75 for Cancer Research through our Terry Fox Run this year. Great job NES students and families!

Message from NES PAC
NES PAC needs your help! The PAC needs new members if we are going to continue next year. Without the PAC the school will not have a hot lunch program. In addition to hot lunch the PAC raises funds for things that the school needs - like outdoor playground equipment, the gym climbing wall, and the grade 4 graduation party. You do not need to be available during the day to volunteer with the PAC. Our meetings are Monday evenings from 5:00-6:00. Check out the school website for information on open Executive positions, our meeting schedule and meeting minutes. All parents are welcome to attend!
Email nesparentcouncil@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Community Opportunity for Youth with Disabilities
"We are excited to share that the Niverville Recreation Centre has received a Community Development Grant from @CTJumpstart. This grant will go a long way towards helping us plan a 6-week program targeted at children ages seven and older who live with disabilities to get involved in sports. The goal is to provide new learning opportunities for youth with disabilities by teaching basic ‘FUNdamentals’ for sports like Basketball or Floor Hockey. The program takes place every Saturday from 9:15 – 10:00 am at the CRRC Fieldhouse. The program is planned on starting October 8th and will run until November 26th (excluding October 29th and November 5th). #SupportedByJumpstart."
PARENT PORTAL/STUDENT INFORMATION
The HSD Parent Portal is a communication tool designed to enhance and increase parent/guardian involvement in the education of their children by providing secure online access to their child's student information. With a single username and password, you can access data for each of your children attending an HSD school. The Access IDs along with setup instructions have been sent via email to all eligible parents/guardians of new students. If you are new to NES and did not receive the specified email, please contact the school office at 204-388-4861.
Please take a few minutes to review the student information and contact information for your child. It is important that the school has current address and contact information for your child in case it is necessary to reach someone during the school day. Changes can be made through the parent portal.
