Meet Principal Ardoin

Welcome to the "NEW" York Junior High! We are so excited to kickoff this incredible school year. I am so thrilled to get to meet all of our Grizzlies, and am excited to meet our families as well. I have been a principal in the Grand Oaks feeder for over 10 years. I opened Snyder Elementary in 2013, and then opened Clark Intermediate in 2018. Now, I'm honored to move up to the junior high role. My family and I have lived here in the Grand Oaks feeder since 2003. We remember driving up the old bridge on Riley Fuzzel Road, when there was literally NOTHING here. My husband and I have loved raising our two children in such a loving and close knit community. I'm excited to bring that "family" atmosphere to York Junior High. My ultimate goal for this first year at York is to work on rebuilding a "family first" community, where EVERYONE belongs. I will work tirelessly to ensure that all of our students, staff members, and community feel safe, valued, and loved everyday at York Junior High. GO Grizzlies!

York Junior High Back-to-School-Bash

Get ready for our "Back-to-School-Bash!" Join us on Friday, August 4 for our big back-to-school event. Students will be able to meet Principal Ardoin, purchase Spirit Wear from PTO, get information on school clubs, take self-guided tours of the campus, meet staff, and pick up their schedules. Due to the high volume of students and parents, we ask that 7th graders come between 2:00 and 4:00 PM. 8th Graders are invited to attend from 4:00-6:00 PM. This is a "come and go" event. We can't wait to see our Grizzlies!

Many parents have asked "how can we help?" I noticed that there are many areas of the building that are old, outdated, and need a refresh. Please help me provide a nice, calm, updated space for our staff. I've put together an Amazon Wish List to redo the York JH Staff Lounge. Some of the furniture is falling apart, and the coffee makers are covered in rust. We are looking to replenish some of the older appliances, furniture, and refresh it with new decor. Click the link above "Principal Ardoin's Amazon Wish List" if you would like to donate. THANK YOU!!

School Supplies

Below is the list for the 23-24 school supply list. You'll find that supply lists are different at the junior high level, rather than elementary/intermediate. We ask that each family provide their child with supplies that they will keep and use throughout the year. We also have a list of class supplies that we ask families to donate to help with items needed during the school day. Because times are tough for many of our families right now, the classroom supplies are optional. However, anything you are able to purchase will make a huge impact in the daily learning for your child. See the list below.
