2017 Pomona Marching Festival
The 29th Annual Pomona Marching Festival took place on in Arvada on Saturday.
The Pride of Mesa Ridge Marching Band took 1st Place in the Class 4A division, and 4th Place overall. The Gladiator Marching Band made a great showing and performed very well. MRHS Students Meet Famous Author
Career and Technical Education (CTE) learners in Library Science and MRHS's book club were able to meet an award-winning author, Stacey Lee, and DISCOVER best practices to become a successful author.
Netter Day at Sunrise Elementary
What's Netter Day? Well, Netter Day is a fun spirit day at Sunrise Elementary celebrating their amazing custodian, Mr. Wayne Netter. The school encouraged staff and students to dress up like Mr. Netter. There were awards for "Best Dressed Netter" and the school provided his favorite snacks in the staff lounge.
WHS Students Drive Smart

Sunrise Named "Best New School" by Landsharks
Sunrise Elementary won an award on Sunday for "Best New School" by Landsharks. Landsharks is a running club in Colorado Springs and Woodland Park the develops young athletes in positive, safe, character-based programs. King, Webster, French and Talbott elementary schools also participate in the running club.
