Wildcat Weekly
June 6, 2022
Hello Wildcat Families!
I truly cannot believe we are wrapping up the 2021-2022 school year already. In some ways it feels like it took so long but overall I feel like it flew by. It was great to bring back many of our WTE traditions this year and some even with a new twist. From the carnival to blanket bingo, the concerts and the art show, our students had many opportunities to bring the school community together to showcase their talents and have some fun. I am forever grateful to you, the parents, and our PTO for all of the help and support throughout the year. Thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for their dedication and passion for student learning during difficult times. Finally, thank you to our awesome students for rolling with the punches and demonstrating tremendous perseverance over the course of the year.
I hope you all are able to spend some time over the summer just shutting everything off and spending time quality time with your loved ones. The summer is a great reset and good for the soul. Come Fall we will be ready to welcome the students back with open arms to kick off another great year.
The last day of school this year is this Friday, June 10th with dismissal at noon. The first day of school for students next year is Monday, August 29th! The link to the district calendar is below. Also, check one summer "to do" off your list by ordering next year's school supplies through School Tool Box below. It's a one stop shop for each grade level's required school supplies and a portion of the proceeds goes back to the PTO! More details below.
Happy Summer!!!!

5th to 6th Transition at SMS
Congratulations to 5th-grade parents on your students’ promotion to Middle School! This is an exciting time, but it can also create some anticipatory nerves. Will I get my locker open? How will I find my classes? Will I see my friends? We want to ensure both you and your students that Middle School will be a fun and exciting place where they will grow their independence and make life-long friendships.
This summer, we will have many opportunities to become more acquainted with Stetson Middle School. The first two opportunities will be our transition camps. Transition Camp is a half-day opportunity to meet staff and explore all Stetson offers. Students will rotate classrooms and learn about lockers, schedules, clubs & activities, Falcon/SEL/Upstander programs, and take a tour.
Please use the link below to sign up for one of the four transition camp sessions. Communication about student schedules will come later this summer. We will provide open house opportunities for students to walk their schedules before the first day of school. We are so excited to meet our newest Falcons!
Enjoy the summer, and an administrator is available in the main office all summer to help support the transition or answer any questions.
