- Involves two sides
- Most advanced body plan
- Highly specialized organs
- Examples would be mollusk, cordite, arthropoda, annelida, and nematoda
Asymmetry
- Without symmetry of body organs
- Simple body plan
- Grow according to the environment
- Examples are coral
Radial
- Circular pattern
- Body radiates from center point
- Provides protection and resources all around the body
- Examples are cindaria and echinodermata
Anterior, Posterior, Ventral, Dorsal, & Lateral
Anteriior/Ventral - Front
Posterior/Dorsal - Back
Lateral - Sides
