President's Message #3

- COVID 19 statement from SMMCTA Executive Board -

"As leaders of the SMMCTA, we recognize that the safest way to return to school is to follow the guidance of scientific experts. According to recent LA County DPH data, we are not ready to open schools as cases increase. Currently, there are not enough tests available to meet the growing need. In order to reopen schools safely, we need to have access to on-demand testing and also have declining infection rates in the community. Schools in Los Angeles County are not yet ready to open. And when schools reopen, we need to follow the most current protocol and guidelines from our local and state health authorities."
