Gator Greetings
Fall Clubs wrapped up this week and I want to give a huge shout out to all the teachers that took the time to stay after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays to help provide enriching and fun experiences for our students. We had over 300 students participate in clubs such as Sports Galore, Robotics, Artistically Talented, Cinemaniacs, Reading Mania, Coding, Crafting, Running Club and more. It was so fun to see students make new friends and let their talents shine! We will have another round of clubs starting in February, so be on the lookout for more information coming home for club sign up in January.
The Community Care Club’s Snowy Surprise Food Drive was a snowy success! They were able to collect over 1700 items to donate to the Crooked Creek Food Pantry to help families in our Washington Township Community this holiday season. Thanks to all families who donated and participated. We met our school-wide goal of collecting at least 800 items, so we will celebrate with a school-wide Crazy Sock and Hat Day next Tuesday, December 21st. Be sure to send your child in their best hat and silly socks on Tuesday!
I wish everyone a restful and peaceful Winter Break. It is my holiday wish that you can enjoy time with your child in a meaningful and unique way that does not happen during the busy weeks of school. Season’s Greetings! I look forward to seeing everyone back at AV in 2022.

What has AVPTO been up to?
1) The PTO Diversity Committee Round Table Discussion to collaborate and engage with families about how to close gap in test scores for students of color. Provided dinner and books for raffle.
2) Our directory committee put together student directories to be distributed to every family at Allisonville at no cost to parents.
3) The PTO sponsored and organized VIP day to welcome our students' special people and celebrate Veterans day
4) Rain didn’t stop our PTO Dad’s Club from hosting our first bonfire in 3 years! DJ, food trucks, and a roaring fire.
5) We voted to establish a Gator Giving Fund to help cover emergency needs for our students.
What our wonderful Allisonville families did to contribute to the PTO:
Took a night off cooking to participate in our Dine to Donate Fundraisers. Thank you!! Our last fundraiser at Bibibop raised $62.95 and Panda Express raised $191.29
Helped make our fall fundraiser a huge success! You raised $8,000 to be used for PTO programs, staff grants, field trips, and more. Wow!! Congrats to our top three sellers:
Aria Gaynor ($815): Ms Martin
Frank Watz ($596): Hodson
Lachlan Hogue ($501): Richardson
You shopped at Kroger and Amazon, who each donate a percentage of your purchase to our school. So far, you’ve helped us receive over $1,000 from Kroger and Amazon this year. Learn more about how to help with community fundraisers here: http://www.avpto.com/fundraisers/
In one week, you’ve already raised $750 for our Gator Giving Fund!!

Book Fair Success!
We had another fantastic book fair! This may have been our best ever fair. Families could shop during 2 different after-school events. Our goal was for EVERY Allisonville student to choose at least one book from this bookfair… and we met that goal. We collected over $2500 in donations from the coin challenge and the Spin It to Win it game. All of that money was given to students to purchase books of their choice. We had 182 students benefit from free books. Also, 6 classrooms were awarded $100 to add to their classroom libraries! SUCCESS!
Thank you to all of the people who volunteered to help during the book fair. It is certainly not a person job. You are greatly appreciated. Thank you to all of the families who shopped during the fair in person or online. We love reading at Allisonville and want to help students continue their love of reading.
If you’d like help with finding just right books for your child or if you need help getting books to add to your home library, please let Mrs. Weiger know.
