WELCOME PANDAS
First Two Weeks
Hi parents! I will be sending out a newsletter a couple of times each month to recap what we're learning about in school and give you an idea of what's to come. Of course, each child's program is individualized but the newsletters will touch on the general flow and activities in Room 21. We have named our classroom the Pandas and Ms. Julie's class next door is the Elephant room. All of us teachers have loved welcoming back our returning students and getting to know our new ones. Right now, we have 6 kids in the class working with myself and 3 Instructional Assistants. We may have some new students/staff joining our class throughout the year :)
We've had fun exploring the classroom these past two weeks! We are working on establishing school routines and following a schedule. We have been playing on the dinosaur playground with our friends, and we've also visited various other playgrounds across campus. In APE this week, we practiced throwing and catching a beanbag, and then passed it around in a circle. We are following the CDC theme for September of "Who We Are" by talking about our senses and learning body parts. Later in the month, we will do a variety of activities surrounding apples!

Important Things to Remember
- Please label/initial all personal items (including water bottles, snack containers, clothes, etc.)
- If your child is in diapers, it's helpful if you send in a whole pack at a time, and I will notify you when we need more
- If your child is going to be absent, please let me know so I can plan accordingly
- Starting next week, we will be sending home big envelopes with art projects and other activities every Thursday; please take out the projects inside and return the empty envelope to school on Monday mornings
- Feel free to send in family photos if you haven't already done so!
