Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 invites all aspiring educators and support staff to its upcoming Job Fair on Tuesday, May 30th. The event, which will run from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, will take place at the District Office at 4201 W. 93rd St., Oak Lawn, IL 60453.

Fifth graders traveled back in time on their recent field trip to Naper Settlement. Naper Settlement is an outdoor history museum that offers intreactive exhibits. Students witnessed a demonstration of forging iron in the Blacksmith Shop, a one room school house where students got to witness how learning was like in the 1850s.

Ms. Nuhie Faheem, OLHMS Spanish teacher, was honored with the Award for Meritorious Service by the Illinois State Board of Education during the 49th annual "Those Who Excel and Teacher of the Year" awards banquet. She was nominated by her peers and students for this distinction.
On Friday, May 12, 2023, Mrs. Hemminger and Mrs. Glikis put on the Hannum Spring Concert. The concert featured chorus, third grade classes, fourth grade classes, and fifth grade. Chorus started the concert by singing "The Star Spangled Banner." They continued by singing three songs that they have been working on all year and it really showed!
The Kolmar gym was absolutely packed for our "Muffins with Misses" event on May 12th. Students got to bring a special misses to school with them for the morning. They enjoyed donuts, iced coffee, juice, and milk. The PTA did an amazing job putting this whole thing together.
