Dear Parents and Guardians,

Boise Independent School District is committed to creating and maintaining school

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Boise National College Fair

All juniors will be released from class to ride a bus and attend the Boise National College Fair on Wednesday, November 1, at Expo Idaho. Over 200 colleges and universities from around the country will be available for students to ask about financial aid, campus housing, programs of study and more.

Operation Wish Book

Operation Wish Book is a community based project designed to enable less fortunate children to receive new books for Christmas. This year, the FC Media Center will be collecting NEW children's books for Operation Wish Book until Thanksgiving break.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) System

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a proven college readiness system, established over 35 years ago, that uses research-based strategies and curriculum to help close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. AVID is a school-wide approach to curriculum and rigor that impacts more than 1.2 million students in K-12 and 40 post-secondary institutions.

AVID 11th and 12th grade students will be going on a college tour to Treasure Valley Community College on October 20th.
