Student Council wants all of our students to join us in our 2020 Holiday Spirit Week. For the next week and a half there is a dress up theme for each day.
On Monday and Tuesday the theme is Winter Wonderland . Wear your favorite snow day attire or dress in white.
On Thursday and Friday is Ugly Sweater day. And the following Monday and Tuesday is Cozy Day. Wear your pajamas or favorite comfy clothes.
Hope you'll join us in spreading some holiday cheer!

Bebras Challenge Update
The BebrasĀ® Computing Challenge introduces computational thinking to students. It is organized in over 30 countries and designed to get students all over the world excited about computing. Each participant gets 45 minutes to answer 15 multiple-choice questions that focus on computational and logical thinking. Overall, twenty-two students competed in the 2020 Bebras challenge with the following top results:
Junior level
Daniel Card - Best in school 156/180 points
Justin Broccolo - Distinction 112/180 points
Senior level
Alyssa Ogi - Best in school 164/180 points
Sebastian Hudek - Distinction 156/180 points
Colby Armstrong - Distinction 148/180 points

Juniors: If you took the PSAT back in October, your scores are available online. Please see the links below to help you link your PSAT scores to a free tool that will help you study for the SAT's called the Khan Academy. School Counselors will be available next week during lunch blocks to help any student that would like help linking their accounts.

From the Health Office...
Reminder all 9th and 11th graders need to turn in an updated physical as mandated by NYS. Please send them to the nurse ASAP.
REMINDER
Sleep overs have been a big problem for increasing the spread of Covid. Please choose not to host them. many kids are missing out on in person learning d/t having to quarantine for 14 days from exposure.
The Positivity in Action Challenge
Calling all Webster students!
Are you looking for something fun to do during the week that can also come with a reward?
Positivity In Action has a challenge for you!
Compete to win weekly challenges and rewards as well as a monthly reward.
All you have to do is complete the weekly challenge and/or the bonus challenge, snap a picture of the completed challenge and send the picture to one of the approved destinations.
Complete the challenge each week to be entered to win a candy prize.
Complete four out of five of the weekly challenges and/or the bonus challenge to be entered to win a gift card prize at the end of the month.
If you miss one of the weekly challenges, don't stress! There will be a bonus challenge to make up for any week missed.
This week's challenge is to donate a can or box of something to the school food pantry or a local pantry. Be sure to snap a picture of your canned or boxed item and send it to one of the destinations shown here.
You may also complete the bonus challenge of decorating any mask in a holiday theme. Be sure to snap a picture of your holiday mask and send it to one of the destinations shown here. This bonus challenge can count for a missed week.
Here is a preview of next week's challenge: Write something positive on a sticky note and stick it somewhere at school or home.

There is a FBLA Meeting on Monday Dec. 14th in Room 255 at 3:20 pm, Again there is a Future Business Leaders of America meeting in Room 255 on Monday Dec. 14" at 3:20 pm.
If anyone is still interested in joining the FBLA club, it's not too late.

Food/ Essential Item Drives for the Holidays...
Looking to donate non-perishable goods this holiday season?
If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. From now until December 18th, there will be a wooden crate in the cafeteria hallway for all donations.
All donations will go directly to the Hope House of Webster.
The hope house is in particular need for items like sugar, canned fruits, shampoo and conditioner, and cleaning products along with any other non perishable items. If you have any questions contact Dan Muscato at the email shown here.
Let's Show CARE for our Local Nurses
Webster Show Choir is looking for donations to make care packages for nurses who work at Strong hospital this holiday to show thanks and appreciation for our frontline workers. Anything would be appreciated but some suggested items to donate include:
- Small hand lotions
- Lip balm
- Protein bars
- Coffee gift cards
- Tea bags
- Mints
- Fuzzy socks
- Chocolate
- Small snacks
- Or just a simple Thank You note
There will be a drop off box near the main office and in Mr Baier's room 132 for donated items all next week. Thank you for CARING!

Audrey led the field hockey team with her leadership on and off the field. She is a consistent play maker on the field and scored three goals in the Section V Championship game to secure the win.
Austin S.
Titan Athlete: Austin Schoen
Sport: Cross Country
Coach: Jim Brunswick
Reason why you nominated this athlete:
Austin capped off a brilliant senior season that saw him win his final league meet before placing seventh at the Section Five Class A Championship. A great team leader, Austin is just as strong in the classroom.
