Technology Integration is now School Transformation and Digital Learning. Don't let the new name fool you, we still care about technology integration. However, we are now working on helping districts to transform their organizations using technology and digital learning as a tool.

This year long series was created for technology integrators at the campus and district level. The series will explore best practices in implementing authentic integration, emerging technologies and trends, building personal learning networks, and applying project based learning principles in the classroom. Participants will build relationships with other districts and share ideas and resources.

Tech Leaders' Visioning Group

Instructional Technology Leaders gather to discuss best practices, industry issues, district initiatives and to share ideas, projects, and products. Topics will include BYOT/D, Project Based Learning, and staff development, among other topics. District and campus level instructional technology professionals as well as interested teachers and other educators are welcome to attend. This meeting will be hosted at the Region 6 Education Service Center by Rebecca King of Rockdale ISD, Pam Cadwalder of Shepherd ISD, Nikki Taylor of Montgomery ISD, and Amy Mayer of Huntsville ISD as well as the ESC6 Instructional Technology team of Dr. Cathy Moak, Carrie Slayton, and Melissa McClatchy.

Google Certification Academy

This interactive workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to master Google applications while preparing for the official Google certification exams. Google applications covered in the academy are exclusive to the Google Apps Education Edition and include: Calendar, AppsMail, Docs, Groups, Sites, and other tools like Labs, Google Moderator and Video. A good working knowledge of the basic Google applications is required to be successful in this course. This certification is best suited for those who administer and train others on Google Apps. Participants will apply to and pay Google for certification. ESC does not certify applicants.

Important Session Information:
Participant's are responsible for $90.00 payment to Google for the certification test.
