News & Information from the Sweetwater Glen HOA - Fall 2013

Your neighborhood newsletter is back!

We plan to produce a digital newsletter at least quarterly to keep everyone up to date with events and updates about Sweetwater Glen. Please let us know if you want to see something in particular in the next newsletter.

Congratulations to our Yard of the Month winners!

We brought our yard of the month contest back this summer, and we had a multitude of homes to choose from each month. Let's keep up the good work!
Don't forget there's a $50 Home Depot gift card given to each winner. We are on hiatus until spring 2014, see you then!

Year in Review

What has your HOA Board been up to this year?
We brought back the Yard of the Month program as seen above. In addition, we started our Movie in the Park program, which will return in the spring.
In December a $50 gift card will be awarded to the best decorated home for the holidays.

Informal Play-dates

Many parents and kids are meeting up at the park/pavilion each weeknight around 6 p.m. for some playtime. Feel free to stop by and join the fun!

Volunteers needed

  • We need volunteers for our Social committee. This committee helps with the planning and execution of events such as National Night Out, the Easter Extravaganza, Halloween party, Movie in the Park, and any other events that may want to be started by our residents.
  • Parents committee - Do you want to network with other parents & their tots in the community? How about setting up play-dates or sharing babysitter info? If you'd like to see a committee like this, please contact Mike Perico and let him know you'd like to be a part: MikePerico@yahoo.com or 512-785-5653

Committee updates

  • Parking Committee - this committee met a few times this year and agreed to make all of Redwater Drive a no parking zone due to safety concerns with cars parking on the street, leaving little room for cars to pass on this major thoroughfare of the neighborhood.
  • Recreational & Common Area Committee - this group met and decided to survey the residents about what they wanted to see added to the neighborhood. The most votes were for a dog park and a walking trail to be added near the retention pond. The Board is currently taking bids for these two projects.

Thank you to all our committee members for your hard work this past year! You are a big part of what makes this community great.

Please use the contact information below if you'd like to join either of these committees.
