REBELLION IN THE THIRTEEN COLONIES
The Thirteen Colonies Fight Back
HOW IT STARTED
It happened in 1775. The British were forcing The Thirteen Colonies to pay taxes to help pay for the costs of the "Seven Year's War" which angered The Thirteen Colonies. The Thirteen Colonies didn't want to pay taxes since they weren't allowed to represent themselves.
DURING THE REBELLION
The French joined The Thirteen Colonies when the The Thirteen Colonies captured an army that was invading from Canada. The British had no major allies in the war against The Thirteen Colonies. The war ended when The Thirteen Colonies captured a second British army at Yorkshire. The Thirteen Colonies declared itself independent and became America after that.
WHY THIS EVENT IS IMPORTANT
If The Thirteen Colonies had not fought back then there would be no America. There would be more land for the British and perhaps more power since they would have had more men.
