The Lion Ledger
2/19/21 We are #npetogether! We are BETTER TOGETHER!
From Mr. Candillo
Hello LIONS,
It's been a great week here in the den and our LIONS have once again demonstrated what it means to have pride, the importance of truthfulness and ways to build your self-confidence. As we move into this new week, we will study bullying and ways to stand up to bullying. Make sure to ask your child about what he/she is learning during SEL time every day.
Our students produced some amazing Scratch coding projects during the first semester and I hope that you had time to ask your child about his/her project. Also, be sure to check out our first-ever virtual showcase video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj8W9jndLyQ&feature=youtu.be. We are so excited about moving into our next coding module, Minecraft.
As we conclude February, we will have our PTA Board meeting on Tuesday, February 23rd at 3:00 with teacher representatives. Our SIC meeting will be held on Friday, February 26th at 7:30 a.m. If you are interested in helping with PTA or attending a School Improvement Council meeting, please send me an email and we'll get you the necessary information.
Planning ahead, Monday, March 15th is a school holiday for students and staff.
Sincerely,
Robert Candillo
