Dear Families,
The school year is officially beginning! On behalf of the staff at Hamilton Creek School I want you to know how excited we are to have our students back in the building again, on a full schedule, no less! I appreciate your patience waiting for communication to begin this year. We’ve had a number of adjustments this summer right up until this last week of planning, but the information I’m sharing with you today is the most current. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, September 7th at Open House at The Creek, and then welcoming your students to their first day of school (1st-8th graders) on September 8th. Here we go!
Upcoming schedule:
Monday, September 6th - Labor Day - No School
Tuesday, September 7th - Open House at The Creek!
Hours: 9-11 am and 12-3 pm
What? Open House is an opportunity for families to come into the school, meet the new teachers, and get a quick glimpse of the school before the first official day of classes.
What should we bring? You can bring your child’s school supplies to drop off in their classroom. Also, any student who has a Chromebook checked out from last spring should return it to be checked back in. You’ll do that in the library.
7th and 8th grade students - You can check out your new Chromebook in the library during open house. If you have a previously checked out device, bring it with you.
6th-8th grade students - We are NOT assigning lockers at this time and planners will arrive during the first couple weeks of school.
Who is my child’s teacher? You’ll find out Tuesday morning, either at Open House or with a communication from their teacher. Check your email!
Health and Safety Guidelines - Masks and social distancing are required indoors.
Wednesday, September 8th - First Day for 1st-8th graders - Early Release
Doors open at 7:30; Classes begin at 7:40
Breakfast will be offered to every student (it’s free!) as they enter, and will be eaten in their classroom.
Dismissal is at 12:23 for 1st grade; 12:25 for 2nd/3rd; 12:27 for 4th/5th, 12:30 for 6th-8th
Thursday, September 9th - First REGULAR day of school for 1st-8th graders
Doors open at 7:30; Classes begin at 7:40
Dismissal is at 2:23 for 1st grade; 2:25 for 2nd/3rd; 2:27 for 4th/5th, 2:30 for 6th-8th
