Will vs. Skill: Where are you?
It's a great time to revisit your will vs. your skill. Have you changed this semester?
Low will/low skill: Discouraged, not invested, "retired on the job", does not volunteer or contribute, passive, tries to stay beneath the radar
High will/ high skill: Motivated, skillful, easily identifies and implements appropriate strategies, explores new ideas, seeks feedback, refines practices, takes on challenges
Low will/high skill: Skillful but disinterested, "seen it all" unreceptive to feedback, resists efforts to try new approaches, sabotages efforts
Remember, having high will but low skill is so much more effective than low will and high skill. Be reflective if you have fallen into low will. What got you there? How will you move out of low will so that you don't negatively impact your team and students?
Homework Lab Tuesday-Friday- Be sure the student brings their homework with them!
Paw Buck Store is now open: Monday-Friday, 7:00-7:25- If your students are asking for particular items for the store, please let us know!
Writing in Math Class
Students in Ms. Johnson's 3rd grade class respond to a writing prompt at the beginning of the math period.
The closing song of our Christmas Choir Performance was Silent Night. The lights were dimmed and the students walked the perimeter of the cafeteria singing. It was such a beautiful and special moment. Great job FSE Choir!
Mrs. Jimenez's 2nd grade students respond to a journal question that is projected on the Promethean Board. Notice the use of sticky notes to mark text features in the big book.
