Retention
Here are the Canvas forms that must be adhered to if considering retention. Any student being considered should be in TST and parent conferences should be happening prior to retention talks. Also, Mrs. Carder should be made aware. According to Dr. Hattie, retention does not have a high return on student achievement and should be used as a very last intervention resort.
Stars and Wish
Stars:
- Flexibility and willing to do what is best - 3rd quarter is a challenge and thank you to the many that step up and are flexible and willing to try various interventions to benefit the students in need!
- Extra time for the first grade team and Mrs. Greiner for interviewing candidates for our first grade opening - it is a team effort!
- Have you noticed some creative and fun art work in the hallways? Thank you Kristen for the fun walls to look at each day - so colorful and creative! ALSO, I love the student work posted down the halls as well. The building looks colorful, engaging work all around, and high quality.
Wish:
- Our 90/90 data is falling close - we are at 92%. A attendance report card will be created and put in your mailbox for students to complete and bring home. Part of goal setting should include academics and attendance for those students below 95% to finish the year strong.
Best Attendance Last Week
1st - Hamm
2nd - Barrett
3rd - Youngblood
Building Average: 93% - so many illnesses - please have kids wash hands often and wipe down the rooms!
