The 2023-2024 speech year is winding down, but it has been a very successful year for the "speechletes" and their new coaches, Tammi Mueller and Izzy Worrall. Practice began in November for large group and individual events. Speechletes for the season are:

Seniors Trenten Swenson and Morgan Fair, Sophomores Gavin Mueller, Hattie Miller, Kiya Fitch, and freshmen Brooklyn Wolthoff, Marley Drilling, Chloe Collier, and Elijah Dwine.

Next Saturday is state individual contest at Starmont. These students will be participating: Trenten Swenson in storytelling, Marley Drilling in poetry, Hattie Miller in literary program, Elijah Dwine in improv, and Gavin Mueller in both prose reading and musical theater.

The Speech team has presented to the local Kiwanis Club and Trenten performed his story for the elementary on Read Across America Day.

On Saturday, May 6, at 6:00 the speech team will be presenting a fine arts exhibition along with the show choir and choir contest participants. Come see the amazing talent we have at Riceville High School!
