Weekly Announcements & Updates

  • Attention Seniors! Senior fees are due soon! If you need to see how much you owe in senior fees, please see the bookkeeper Ms. Swopes!
  • Spots are currently available in ALL of our magnet programs which include Visual Arts, Photography, Dance, Theatre Performance, Theatre Production, Vocal Performance, Creative Writing, and Film & Video. Current Lee High School Students, students at other HCS High Schools, and current 8th graders in any HCS Middle School are encouraged to apply to any or our awesome programs by 3pm on April 21, 2022 at https://www.huntsvillecityschools.org/magnet
  • Prom tickets are on sale! They are $60 now and will be $80 per person the day of prom, which will be Saturday, May 7th. Please see the bookkeeper Ms. Swopes to purchase a prom ticket.

  • The Lee High School Art Garden is seeking seed donations: cone flowers, sunflower, zinnia, cosmos, foxgloves, peony, and poppy. They also need pine straw. Please contact Jessica Johnson jessica.johnson@hsv-k12.org if you are willing to make a donation. Thanks!

Shout-Outs

  • Shout out to our Freshmen of the Week! Kaliayah Holden came to us from Chapman Middle School. Here at Lee she participates on the Volleyball team. Outside of school she is a part of the Dazzlyn' Dymes Dance Team. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and dancing. She has an older sister who is a junior here at Lee and has been a model before. After graduating from Lee, she wants to go to college and pursue a career in engineering. Shannon Weaver came to us from Huntsville Middle School. Here at Lee, he is a member of the track team where he runs the 100 and the 200. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies and spending time with family. He also enjoys singing with his cousins. After graduating from Lee, he wants to go to college and pursue a career in the medical field. Congratulations to both of them for representing our FamiLEE values so well!
  • Shout-out to the girls soccer team for beating New Hope and Jemison last week!

  • Shout out to the boys soccer team for beating New Hope last week!

  • Shout-out to the the Lee High Freshmen Track team! They did a great job at the North Alabama Junior High School Championships! The 4x100m relay team (Dajonna Roper, Shi’Ann Perez, O’Marea Archie, and Jayda Blair-Raby) won 3rd place!!!
  • Shout-out to all the seniors on the Varsity Baseball team and Diamond Dolls who were recoginzed at last week's senior night!
  • Shout out to freshman soccer player Imani Taylor for winning the Golden Boot (most goals scored) at the New Hope Soccer Tournament!

  • Shout-out to the Lee Esports Valorant Team! They got their first league win last week with a 15-2 victory against the Baraboo Thunderbirds.
