March 30th - April 3rd - National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week
2020-2021 Course Selection Timeline
Scheduling for the 2020-21 academic year has begun!
- February 24-28 - Counselors met with all Juniors to schedule courses for next year.
- March 2-12 - Counselors will meet with 10th grade students to select courses for next year.
- March 12 - 8th grade students will participate in Moving Up Day/High School Visit and have the opportunity to select electives for next year. A separate mailing will go out at a later date for these families.
- March 16-20 - Counselors will meet with 9th grade students individually to select courses for next year.
- April 3 - Students’ course selections will be mailed home for the 2019-2020 academic year. Please note these are course selections/requests as actual classes offered will depend on course enrollments.
- May 1 - Deadline for students to contact their counselor about course selection changes.
- May 1 through end of July - Master schedule development.
- August - Students’ schedules are mailed home. Students will have the opportunity to make schedule changes in August depending on seat availability. In the fall, students will have 10 days from the start of the semester to add/drop a full year course and 5 days to add/drop a half year course.
Students will be given a copy of their course selections at their meeting. Please review it with your child. Please feel free to contact your student’s counselor if you have questions or concerns regarding the scheduling process, NYS graduation requirements, or if you would like to meet with your student and the counselor individually.

Open House at Wayne Technical and Career Center RESCHEDULED
Everyone is welcome to an Open House at Wayne Technical and Career Center - RESCHEDULED - new date is May 13th from 6-8pm. See the flyer and maps below for additional information.
Please use the Career Center and Conference room main entrance. Tables will be set up near the Career Center Conference room for colleges/military representatives.
