Mask Policy Information
In response to the Executive Order issued by Governor McMaster, the SCDE has made masks optional for students and staff in our school buildings. Students who wish to be on campus without a mask must have a consent form from DHEC on file with our school.
I have encouraged our staff to continue to wear masks/face coverings for the remainder of this school year. I feel that it is important that our staff continues to wear them, as families made decisions, prior to the beginning of the school year, to send their children to school with this mandate in place. The choice whether to wear a mask or not is up to our families, students, and staff. Our teachers and staff appreciate the support of all of our families for understanding that this was not a school or district decision. We want our focus to continue to be on educating our students and finishing up the school year strong!
Doby's Bridge Classes of the Week
We are excited to recognize a class in K-2 and a class in 3-5 each week. These classes are chosen for their outstanding demonstration of the Dragon Expectations (Friendly, Including Others, Respectful, Engaging Minds).
Congratulations to Mrs. Hudson's and Mrs. Silvers' Kindergarten Class and Mrs. Dunster's Fifth Grade Class for being this week's classes of the week!

News from our School Nurse
- Nurse Callahan will be sending home Medical Forms Packets with students who have current documented medical conditions. Expect these forms in your student’s back pack by the end of May. If your student has FOOD ALLERGIES , expect a new form for Diet Modifications to be included. If you need an electronic copy , please Email Nurse Callahan and request an electronic packet. All forms are required to be completed by parent and / or physician each academic school year. Please plan to bring these forms in August along with your child’s medications to be kept in the health room and managed by the school nurse.
- If you are virtual , you will have choice of options to 1. complete / turn in medical forms / have a healthcare plan OR 2. sign a healthcare plan declination.
- IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE MEDICATIONS for your student kept by the nurse, these must be picked up by a parent or designated adult . Nurses cannot send home medications with students nor can they keep and store medications in the health room over the summer break If medications are not picked up by 12 :00PM on 6/18/21 , they will be discarded.
- If you need to discuss anything regarding your student’s medical needs with Nurse Callahan, please feel free to call or email her with any questions or concerns.
