ABOUT THE PROJECT
In the project, students will explore their towns and presents them to other groups. Children will enrich their knowledge about their own town, get to know the authorities and how they work, investigate the past and legends connected with towns and create together a new, fiction town.

Before starting project,I had a meeting with the parents,and told some information about the project and how to use internet safely.They signed sheets of paper that they approved their children to work in the project.
New Year Cards
We prepared new year cards for our partners.But we couldn't sent them on time.So prepared digital cards too to celebrate our partners' new year.Later again we want to resent the cards but because of the corona pandemic,we couldn't do it again.

GETTING INFORMATION ABOUT THE TOWN
Our First activity was getting some information about the town.To do this first I divided students into group and they started to search information about the monuments,historical places,universities,mosques,libraries etc..Then we started to work on Google slides to upload our files easily.They tried to make English sentences about the topic in our book.They practiced "Can" and "Like" while doing this activity.For example: You can go to the library to read books.
Then I created some games using Kahoot and Learning Apps.They played these games at school and at home too.

ABOUT OUR TOWN
After we finished gathering information about our city,I collected all the images and writings of students in a video using "Pawtoon" web2.0 tool and uploaded to you tube.We prepared a very good presentation which will be used many years.

WE MADE AN INTERVIEW WITH THE MAYOR TO GET SOME INFORMATION ABOUT HIM AND THE TOWN

Before going to the interview students prepared some questions on google slides,and took permissions from the parents.Then we went to the Municipality Building and had an interview with him.He was very kind to the students ,he also gave some chocolate to them.The students were very excited and happy to be there.They asked so many good questions to him.He replied all the qustions patiently.Some parents also accompanied with us.They took the pictures and helped us .At the end of the interview ,they learnt a lot of information about the town.

After the interview ,We translated all the sentences that Mayor told.I edited my students mistakes and upload the file on project's Flipsnack account.

CREATING AN IMAGINARY CITY CALLED "TWINCITY"
Another activity was creating Twincity.We chose this name by mojority of votes among partners.Then we started to work in groups.Every partner chose two tasks in Twinspace.For example;we chose the Mayor and representatives of Twincity.Then we started to work together.First we use "Doodle " web2.0 tool to vote for the name of our mayor.We chose a woman for this duty and Her name became Mary Rose by majority of votes.I shared the link on facebook project group ,so they can vote easily.Then one of my students created an animated character for her with the help of her parent.My students also worked in Groups of five for this activity.Some of them wrote what she looked like,some of them designed her appearance ,some of them created an imaginary account on Instagram etc.For the representatives we worked on cartoons.They drew some pictures ,wrote their ideas who will the representatives and then I gathered all their work on "Makebeliefs.com"

For this activity we chose students to draw pictures of imaginary city,Twincity.Students shared their ideas in the forum section.And they worked together.

STUDENTS' MEETING
We had to go on some activities at home because of the pandemic all around the world.Some them was Mixed country team work, last surveys,evaluation of the project and students' meeting.
We had an online meeting with students.They introduced themselves in English and evaluated the project shortly.They were very ecxited and happy to join this meeting.I organised the meeting as an English teacher.I translated some sentences for my Turkish teachers.IT was a very useful online meeting for all of us

SURVEY RESULTS OF TEACHERS,PARENTS AND STUDENTS
I prepared a survey for teachers,students and parents to check if the project achieved its goal or not.Generally the answers were positive.Everybody liked the activities and mostly finished the tasks on time.They believe it was a useful project to get to know their town.Students used their imaginations with criticalthinking and problem solving methods.They enjoyed working in cooperation.
