Lakeview Behavior Matrix and Character Safari
At the beginning of each school year, we spend time teaching students our building expectations for behaviors. Students learn appropriate and safe behaviors for all areas and settings of our school. We utilize these “universal expectations” to help promote good choices and positive behavior in our building. Our expectations focus on Lakeview students being respectful, responsible, and safe.
For your reference, we have attached our K-3 expectations matrix, as well as our 4-6 matrix. Please review the matrix with your child and encourage him or her to show these characteristics both inside and outside of LVE.
Late Start Information
In order to arrange for adequate staffing, you must register and pay for K-6 supervision by the end of the day on Monday 9/6. (Please note: you may register for multiple dates by filling out the form one time - it is not necessary for you to wait and register before each late start date.) Once you have registered, payments can be made by cash or check to your child’s school or via PayPal.
Late starts provide valuable collaboration time for our teachers across the District and yet we understand these days can be a challenge for working parents especially. The supervision option was established to assist those parents who need it. Additional information about late start supervision for students in grades K-6, as well as the link to pay via PayPal can be found on the District website.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
This is an important reminder of the drop-off and pick-up procedures that we will enforce for the safety and efficiency of the students and parents at Lakeview Elementary.
- Staff supervision and student drop-off begin at 8:35 a.m. If you arrive early, please wait with your child(ren) until 8:35 am, in your car in the car rider line, to assure that they are supervised.
- Parents should not drop students off in the parking lot in order to avoid the drop-off line. This can create a serious safety hazard, as cars entering/exiting likely are not expecting to see children walking or running in areas of the lot other than in the drop-off zone.
***IMPORTANT *** Due to student safety, students who walk home from school will not be able to meet their parents at the front of the building. Parents will need to meet their children at the Fox Ridge sidewalk or the playground (West Wind). If you are picking up your child by car, then you need to utilize the parent pick up line.
Walkers/Bike-riders- Walkers/Bike-riders are defined as students who walk/ride home on their own without a parent/guardian. The parking lot is not a designated crosswalk and is extremely dangerous for students to walk through unattended. Please do not bypass the carline for convenience and put your child and others in danger. Please do not put your children or our staff in this situation.
Car Riders- Car Riders are defined as students who will have parents/guardians who will utilize our car rider line to drive through and pick their child up. This is the most efficient way if a parent is coming to pick their child up. The line might look long but it moves quickly.
- All cars will enter on the west entrance of the building near the school's marquee. Cars will line up and follow the directions of the staff members facilitating the car rider pick up.
- Cars will pull in front of the building, students' names will be called and get into cars in small groups of students.
- Students must enter/exit curb-side for safety.
- Cars will then promptly exit the parking lot at the same entrance/exit of the building. Cars are not allowed to cut through the parking lot and access the east entrance to leave.
- Please take a moment to view the Arrival/Dismissal MAP so that you are familiar with the procedures on the first day.
A smooth and efficient procedure takes all of us working together. I appreciate your willingness and expect all parents to follow the outlined procedures.
Updated Proof of Residency Requirements
Starting with the 2021-2022 school year, our buildings will ask every current family to provide updated proof of residency to the school that serves the oldest child in the family. The documents will be collected August 1 through October 31. A list of the approved documents is provided below. Please contact your school's secretary or registrar for further information. New enrollments will be required to provide full proof of residency documentation.
Homeowners:
Provide current utility bill (water, sewer, electric, gas) within the last 30 days with matching mailing address and service address.
Leases:
Provide current lease with all occupant names and utility bill (water, sewer, electric, gas) within the last 30 days. Utility bill mailing address and service address must match. If a lease transitions to month-to-month then provide the updated addendum. If it is a mobile home trailer and pad, then the lease for both should match. Leases should include all pages of the lease.
Residing with Someone Else:
Owner/Lessee should provide a lease, ALTA Settlement Statement, or Real Estate Tax Statement. Owner/Lessee should also provide a utility bill, valid photo ID, and notarized letter.
Parent/Guardian residing with someone else should provide a photo ID and Affidavit of Residency Form. Parent/Guardian residing with someone else should also provide official mail from a federal/state agency, current bank statement/loan statement, or utility bill.
Guardianship:
All guardianship situations and documentation will need to be updated this year and annually.
Please contact your school's secretary or registrar for further information.
Responsible Usage Policy (RUP)
As we begin the 21-22 school year, required student forms, along with the Responsible Use Policy (RUP) must be completed before your child(ren) can log into district technology resources. The forms, including the RUP, can be signed online through Tyler Student 360. The portal opened on August 13. Please complete the required form(s) as soon as possible, so that your child(ren)’s access will remain enabled for the school year.
The Tyler SISK12 Student 360 website can be accessed from the homepage on the district website or using the Tyler Student 360 app.
Please be aware that there is a 24-hour delay between the submission of the forms and your child's access being reactivated.
Thank you for your support and cooperation!
