Resurrection-St. Paul School
Encounter Christ's Presence - Year of the Eucharist
November 21st, 2021
Dear RSPS Families,
As I reflect on the first trimester, I have always felt that the school year was much like a roller coaster --- the long anticipation to the top of the first drop (before school), the excitement and adrenaline of the big drop (first month), the uncomfortable rattling and jostling around during the ride (new social groups and grade expectations), the flash of the camera (picture day), and the inevitable twists/turns and ups/downs that no one expects. Roller coasters can be thrilling and fun, but they can also be scary and intimidating.
The pandemic has made the school year roller coaster even more scary and challenging than ever before. The social & emotional toll it has taken on students, families, and teachers, the loss of learning, and constant fear of getting sick weighs on us all. That being said, there is light at the end of the tunnel. There is laughter and joy in the hallways and classrooms, students are in-person learning, parents/volunteers are allowed back in the building, and we are all here riding this roller coaster together as one big family.
On behalf of the RSPS Faculty/Staff, THANK YOU!
- Thank you for partnering with us in the education of your children.
- Thank you for your willingness to volunteer.
- Thank you for the treats you send in.
- Thank you for the smiles and waves at arrival/dismissal.
- Thank you for your patience as you sit in the arrival/dismissal lines.
- Thank you for raising kind, compassionate, and respectful children.
- Thank you for riding this roller coaster with us, and
- Thank you for choosing RSPS!
I pray that you have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving holiday! See you soon for part 2 of our roller coaster ride.
Sincerely,
Ryan Hellem
Principal

Keep an eye out for upcoming Black Friday Deals starting on 11/22.

Christmas Gifts of Gratitude - In this season of Thanksgiving, we pause to thank the faculty and staff at RSPS. We can all agree that the time, talent, and hard work that is given by our faculty and staff is truly a blessing for our community.
The HSA is proud to offer the Christmas giving program, “Gifts of Gratitude.” This program provides a convenient way for families to express gratitude to the dedicated faculty and staff that have supported our children in the fall semester. Families make monetary contributions and are billed through FACTS. The contributions are pooled to give the faculty and staff member one total sum of money in the form of a check. The link for making contributions will be available next week. Participation is completely voluntary, and if families prefer, email messages of thanks are always welcome! We understand the difficulty of giving a gift to your teacher at this time, and hopefully this will alleviate that concern.
More information and the link to make a contribution will be available next week.
Thank you for your support. The RSPS HSA
