We are the Walton Owls!

We Are On The Homestretch!

Hello Families!

Can you believe it!??! We are now less than 6 weeks until school is out for the summer. We have been blessed to have your children here at Walton School this year. In a year when it has been anything but "normal", your children have been flexible, adaptive, hardworking and have persevered.

Your children are in the midst of participating in their end of year assessments that will highlight the hard work they have done this year. I look forward to celebrating this data with you once we have it. A reminder that the last student day is Thursday June 16th with a 11:30 dismissal.

As always, please reach out to connect if you have questions, comments, concerns or celebrations. We are here for you and your family.

Sincerely,

Michael Davis, Principal

Pooled Testing Ends

Dear Families:

Since last fall, the Auburn School Department has offered pooled testing as a mitigation strategy for COVID-19. Pooled testing has allowed us to monitor COVID-19 levels in our school community and identify positive cases in our schools. In late April, The Mills Administration announced that pooled testing for COVID-19 in Maine schools will conclude in May, given its reduced effectiveness in limiting the spread of the highly contagious BA.2 variant and the widespread availability of free and convenient at-home tests for students and school staff.

In accordance with the state timeline, this week (May 9-13) will be the last week of pooled testing for Auburn students. Please contact the school office with any questions or concerns.
