A Message From Our Principal
Greetings!
We have almost completed the craziest year in our lives! With three days left it’s hard to believe how far we have come this school year. It really did go fast! Thanks to the parents who pushed their children to be successful and made sure they were attending either virtual or in person! Thanks to our teachers who navigated through this tough year and continually worked closely with their students for success. I’m looking forward to September and returning to a normal year, at least that is what I am hoping for! As we finish the year we do have things that need to be returned to the school. I will include the book and Chromebook return message I put out this week:
If your child was in person:
Books will be collected by the teacher.
Chromebook with the charger, (hotspots if borrowed should be returned as well) can be returned to school any day up to June 16. Your child's first period teacher will allow them to return the chromebooks to our library.
If your child was virtual:
Books are to be returned today and tomorrow, June 10 and 11, from 12:30 -3:30 in the high school main gym.
Chromebooks with charger and/or hotspots will be collected on Thursday and Friday, June 17 and 18, from 8-3 at the High School Cafeteria entrance (next to the main entrance).
We’ve had some great things happening this last full week of school. Academies have celebrated their students. There was a senior sports recognition for all the senior athletes. There was a virtual presentation of varsity scholars. We are proud that in the uncertainty of the year there were over 900 students holding a 90 or above average for the year! Our choir had their final performance on Friday evening and they were exceptional!
If your child was the recipient of a Varsity Scholar Award, they may pick up their pin and/or letter in the following locations:
In Person Students:
Senior - Pick up during graduation practice on Monday June 14. It will be announced during the practice.
Junior - Pick up in the Athletic Secretaries office, second floor before entering A wing.
Sophomore - Pick up in the Vice Principal Office, Ms. Cunningham Rm C221.
Freshman - Pick up in the Vice Principal Office , Mr. Bower Rm B231
Virtual Students
During Book/Chromebook return on June 10 &11
Main office on July 12 and thereafter.
During this next week we will celebrate our seniors with graduation practice and the beautiful graduation that EHT is known for. It is my hope that they follow their dreams.
Until next week, stay safe, be well, continue to dream of the possibilities ahead of us, be happy and smile at someone!
Ms.Connor
