BILL GATES & ALAN KAY

Bill Gates is the founder, chairman, and CEO of the Microsoft Corporation. Gates and his friend, Paul Allen, both started their own corporation called MICROSOFT, located in New Mexico. He has had success for two main reasons.

1) He focused on designing software products that are easy to operate and perform well.

2) His stubborn pursuit of perfection pushed his Microsoft team to improve their products.

CHARLES SIMONYI

He was originally born in Hungary. He moved to Denmark, then he came to America in 1967. He became a student at the University of California-Berkeley.

MICROSOFT'S BEGINNING

Gates and Allan found out how useless the $397 Altair was, and then quickly saw that a language was needed to communicate with the Altair 8800. Soon they figured out an adapted version of BASIC that would have the best chance for success on the Altair. After Gates came home from Harvard University, he and Allen quickly went to work. Soon, Gates came up with a computer code and wrote it down.

THE MICROSOFT PC

In 1980, more than 700,000 PCs were sold worldwide, with sales in the U.S. alone nearing the $1 billion mark. The operation system was the first to require MICROSOFT ACTIVATION, an interactive program for providing the proper activation process and service provider for the users' product ran by the MICROSOFT SERVICE PROGRAM.

THE 1ST MICROSOFT XBOX PRUDUCTION

IN 1999, Bill Gates and the DirectX team produced the DirectX Box, the ancestor of the XBOX. IT was a silver box in the form of the letter X. It was popular until there were problems found in the console.

NEGATIVE ISSUES

In Japan, MICROSOFT received negative comments about the XBOX. The Japanese Weren't happy with the XBOX name because the X means death, and the same with the color black, saying that it also means death, but the XBOX was more of a smoke-like color. The PlayStation 2 is popular in Japan, and its colored black. Why would they say that about the XBOX and not the PlayStation 2?

MICROSOFTS BEST-SELLING PRUDUCT OF 2002

In 2002, a new version came out with the shortened name XBOX, was released with the birth of XBOX LIVE. Bill Gates, with WWE Pro Wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, introduced Microsoft's new best-selling product, the XBOX with the birth of the first XBOX LIVE for online play. The first XBOX game, HALO: Combat Evolved, was established as a 5 star RPG ever played. Soon, more than a thousand units were sold within a week of the XBOX's first arrival.
