Ranger Report 12/16/22
IB World School
Message from BTE Leadership
Ranger Families,
Wow! It was a great week here at BTE! This week, as a school, we practiced being KNOWLEDGEABLE by making connections to the world. Our Spanish phrase of the week was Feliz Navidad which means, Merry Christmas! We encouraged all scholars to practice this phrase throughout the day and even at home.
Reminder from the office:
- If you have moved or changed your phone number it is very important that you notify the front office with your new address or phone number so we can update the information on Skyward.
Holiday reminder:
- PLEASE take the time to enjoy being with family and friends during this holiday break. We are excited to see every Ranger back in school on January 4th.
Meet our new principal, Mrs. Muehling!
Kristina Muehling is excited to join the Bluebonnet Trail Elementary School family as our new school principal. Ms. Muehling began her educational career teaching special education in Indiana before moving to Austin in 2008. She served students as an elementary school teacher in Round Rock ISD and Austin ISD for 10 years, teaching special education, first and fourth grades. She then became an assistant principal at Austin ISD, a position she held for four years. Ms. Muehling then had the honor of leading the Bryker Woods Elementary School community, where she served as the school principal for three years. She joined the Manor ISD community as an Instructional Coach in April 2022 after spending time at home with her young children. Ms. Muehling is excited to begin her new journey as the proud principal of Bluebonnet Trail Elementary.

Learner Profile --> Balanced
These Rangers spent the week taking care of themselves-- mind, body, and spirit. We are so proud of them!!
FROM THE IB --> Balanced learners understand the importance of intellectual, physical, and emotional balance to achieve personal well-being for themselves and others. They are able to assess and understand their strengths and limitations in order to support their learning and personal development.
Learner Profile --> Knowledgeable
These Rangers spent the week showing how much they know about the world by making important connections in their learning!
FROM THE IB --> a knowledgeable student is one who critically explores concepts that have both local and global significance. As they explore these important ideas and issues, they begin to develop a broad range of knowledge across many disciplines, and they reach beyond the surface.
Mrs. Townsley
Mrs. Townsley is one of our fantastic resource teachers!! She is also the SPED team lead and loves to make sure all students have exactly the resources they need in order to be successful! We love you, Mrs. Townsley! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!
Ms. Callahan
