MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
It’s hard to believe that we are finishing up another school year at GAMS. It feels like just yesterday that we were welcoming all of our students back on the first day of school! A heartfelt thank you to all of the faculty and staff for guiding and supporting our students through another year. You are the heart and soul of the building! Also, thank you friends and families for continuing to encourage your children to strive for the best in all that they do. Thank you for entrusting your children to our care as we support and teach them to be the future leaders and contributing members of society.
We look forward to a busy summer of planning and preparation for the coming school year. Look for mailings and emails detailing upcoming events and important information.
We wish everyone a safe and relaxing summer break. Before we know it, the halls of GAMS will be alive with the excitement of another school year!

COUNSELOR'S CORNER
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we would like to share information with parents about starting conversations at home about mental health. Check out the links below for strategies. As always, feel free to reach out to your child’s school counselor if you have any concerns or questions.
*SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) has a page with helpful tips about how to start a conversation with your child about mental health. There are also links to more specific resources, based on your child’s needs: SAMHSA Parent Page

Mrs. Swogger
Mr. Musser
It has been a busy year in the school health office. Cold and flu season has now been replaced by allergy season! Please remind your children to hydrate and make healthy food choices to maintain optimal health. Each year, I am amazed by how many students do not eat breakfast. Please encourage your child to grab something at home before leaving in the morning or stop by the cafeteria when they arrive at school. At this time, our school breakfast program is still free to all students. A lot of headaches, stomachaches, weakness, and fatigue can be avoided by fueling their body in the morning.
Mandated school health screenings have been completed for the year. All results can be found in your parent Skyward portal under Health Info. Not only will you be able to access your child’s screening results, but you can also access a copy of their current immunizations if needed. Please contact the school health office if you have any questions. I wish all our students and families a safe and healthy summer!
